Rose says: Exposing the arts to young people is “her calling” and she walks that spiritual journey daily. Acclaimed artist, Rose Munford began offering low cost art instruction in the West Anniston. After moving around to various donated spaces, Rose was fortunate to acquire use of the Kilby House on the Anniston High School campus during Joan Frazier’s tenure as Anniston City Schools (ACS) Superintendent. This was the beginning of a huge expansion of fine arts offerings. Rose’s dogged determination and infectious enthusiasm quickly won for her the patronage of quality fine arts instructors, philanthropists, and Howard Core, wholesale and manufacturing company of the violin family of instruments, who donated violins, and corporations backed her with grant monies and art supporters jumped in with donations and volunteer time.
